Free Plan vs Free Trial
Free Plan and Free Trial are two different things:
- Free Plan — A permanent free tier with 30 minutes of call time. No credit card required. Minutes don’t renew.
- Free Trial — A 14-day trial of any paid plan (Starter, Pro, or Business). You get the full plan features and minutes. Credit card required, but you won’t be charged until the trial ends.

Free Plan Details
The Free Plan is designed to let you try Akol with no commitment:
- 30 minutes of call time (one-time, non-renewable)
- No credit card required to sign up
- When your 30 minutes run out, calls are paused until you upgrade
- Great for testing the platform before committing to a paid plan
Free Trial Details
All paid plans come with a 14-day free trial:
- You get full access to your chosen plan’s features and minutes
- A credit card is required, but you won’t be charged until the 14 days are up
- Cancel anytime during the trial to avoid charges
- After the trial ends, your subscription becomes active and billing starts
Phone Number Costs
Phone numbers are billed separately from your plan:

Small Business?
The Starter plan at $49/month gives you 100 minutes — enough for most small businesses getting started with AI phone answering.
Growing Business?
The Pro plan at $149/month gives you 500 minutes, plus advanced analytics, call recordings, custom voice, and webhooks.
High Volume?
The Business plan at $299/month gives you 1,500 minutes plus API access and white-label options.

What Happens If I Run Out of Minutes?
It depends on your plan:

You can enable or disable overage charges in your billing settings. If disabled, calls will pause when your minutes run out.
You’ll see a notification in your dashboard when you’re approaching your limit.
Annual Billing
Save 20% by paying annually. Annual pricing:
- Starter — $39/month (billed yearly)
- Pro — $119/month (billed yearly)
- Business — $239/month (billed yearly)
