Connect Close CRM to automatically create leads, log calls, and keep your sales pipeline updated with every phone conversation.

What It Does

  • Creates leads and contacts — New callers are added to Close automatically
  • Logs calls — Every call is logged with disposition, duration, and recording
  • Searches contacts — Looks up existing leads by phone or email during calls
  • Creates notes and tasks — Add follow-up tasks and notes from call data

How to Connect

Get Your API Key

In Close CRM, go to Settings > API Keys and generate a new key.

Open Integrations

Go to Dashboard > Integrations and find Close CRM.

Enter Your API Key

Paste your Close CRM API key and click Connect.

You’re Connected

Akol will now sync call data to your Close CRM account.

What Happens After a Call

  1. Akol searches Close for the caller’s phone number
  2. If not found, a new Lead with a Contact is created
  3. The call is logged with disposition, recording URL, and AI summary
  4. Follow-up notes are added to the Lead

Troubleshooting

Calls Not Being Logged

  1. Verify your API key is valid in Close CRM settings
  2. Check that call logging is enabled in integration settings
  3. Disconnect and reconnect if issues persist

Duplicate Leads

  1. Close CRM matches by phone number — inconsistent formatting can cause duplicates
  2. Standardize phone number formats in your Close account

API Key Permissions

  1. Make sure your API key has read and write permissions
  2. Admin-level API keys are recommended

  1. Use Smart Views — Create a Close Smart View to filter leads created by Akol
  2. Set up workflows — Trigger Close workflows based on Akol call outcomes
  3. Review dispositions — Check how calls are being categorized in Close
