Setting Up Services

Services define what your customers can book. Each service has a name, duration, price, and availability settings that your AI agent uses to schedule appointments.

Creating a Service

  1. Go to Dashboard > Business > [Your Business]
  2. Navigate to the services section
  3. Click Add Service
  4. Fill in the details

Scheduling Constraints

Control how and when this service can be booked:

Availability

Set when this service is available:

  • Available days — Which days of the week (default: Monday through Friday)
  • Start time — Earliest appointment time
  • End time — Latest appointment time

Buffers are important for services that require setup or cleanup time. For example, a 30-minute cleaning service with 15-minute buffer after means the next appointment can’t start until 45 minutes later.

Managing Services

Editing a Service

Click on any service to update its details. Changes apply to future bookings — existing appointments are not affected.

Disabling a Service

Toggle a service to Inactive to temporarily stop it from being booked. The service stays in your list but won’t be offered to callers. Reactivate it anytime.

Reordering Services

Use the sort order to control which services appear first when your AI agent offers options to callers.

How Your AI Agent Uses Services

When a caller asks to book an appointment, your AI agent:

  1. Lists available services by name and price
  2. Checks the selected service’s availability settings
  3. Finds open time slots that respect buffers and max-per-day limits
  4. Offers the next available times to the caller
  5. Books the appointment for the correct duration

Your AI agent speaks the service name exactly as you’ve configured it. Use customer-friendly names — “Teeth Cleaning” is better than “PROPH-01”.
