Follow Up Boss

Connect Follow Up Boss to automatically capture leads and log calls from your AI agent directly into your real estate CRM.

What It Does

  • Creates contacts — New callers are added as People in Follow Up Boss
  • Logs calls — Every call is logged as an Event with direction, duration, and outcome
  • Searches contacts — Looks up existing contacts by phone or email
  • Creates tasks — Add follow-up tasks with due dates from call data
  • Creates notes — Attach call notes to Person records

How to Connect

Get Your API Key

In Follow Up Boss, go to Admin > API and copy your API key.

Open Integrations

Go to Dashboard > Integrations and find Follow Up Boss.

Enter Your API Key

Paste your Follow Up Boss API key and click Connect.

You’re Connected

Call data will start syncing to Follow Up Boss.

Follow Up Boss is designed for real estate teams. This integration is ideal if you’re using Akol for property inquiries and lead capture.

What Happens After a Call

  1. Akol searches Follow Up Boss for the caller’s phone number
  2. If not found, a new Person is created with caller details
  3. The call is logged as an Event with duration, direction, and outcome
  4. Follow-up tasks are created based on call results

Troubleshooting

Contacts Not Appearing

  1. Verify your API key is correct and active
  2. Check that the integration shows as connected
  3. Follow Up Boss may take a few seconds to display new contacts

Call Events Missing

  1. Make sure call logging is enabled in the integration settings
  2. Verify the API key has sufficient permissions

Duplicate Contacts

  1. Follow Up Boss matches by phone — ensure consistent formatting
  2. Check for existing contacts before assuming a sync issue

Tips

  1. Tag Akol leads — Use Follow Up Boss tags to identify leads captured by your AI agent
  2. Set up action plans — Trigger Follow Up Boss action plans for new leads from Akol
  3. Assign to agents — Route leads to the right real estate agent based on inquiry type
