Notion

Connect Notion to log calls and contacts into your Notion databases, creating a searchable record of every conversation.

What It Does

  • Logs calls — Creates a page in your Notion database for each call with full details
  • Creates contacts — Adds caller information to a Notion contacts database
  • Daily summaries — Generates daily summary pages with call statistics
  • Custom properties — Maps call data to your Notion database columns

How to Connect

Open Integrations

Go to Dashboard > Integrations and find Notion.

Click Connect

Click the Connect button. You’ll be redirected to Notion.

Select Your Workspace

Choose your Notion workspace and grant Akol access to specific databases.

Select Databases

Pick which Notion databases Akol should use for call logs and contacts.

You’re Connected

Call data will start appearing in your selected Notion databases.

You must share the specific Notion databases with the Akol integration. During the OAuth flow, select the databases you want Akol to use.

Settings

Calls Database

Select a Notion database where call records should be logged. The database should have properties for:

  • Title (text) — Caller name or call reference
  • Phone Number (phone_number or text)
  • Date (date) — Call date and time
  • Duration (number) — Call length in minutes
  • Outcome (select) — Call result
  • Summary (text) — AI-generated call summary

Contacts Database

Select a Notion database for storing caller information. Recommended properties:

  • Name (title)
  • Phone Number (phone_number or text)
  • Email (email)
  • Last Call (date)
  • Notes (text)

Troubleshooting

Data Not Appearing in Notion

  1. Check that you selected the correct databases during setup
  2. Verify the databases are shared with the Akol integration in Notion
  3. Make sure your database properties match the expected types

Property Mapping Issues

  1. Akol looks for common property names (Phone, Email, Date, etc.)
  2. Rename your Notion database properties to match if needed

Connection Expired

  1. Notion tokens don’t expire, but the integration can be revoked from Notion settings
  2. Check Settings > Integrations in Notion to verify Akol is still connected

Tips

  1. Create dedicated databases — Use separate databases for calls and contacts
  2. Add views — Create Notion views to filter by date, outcome, or caller
  3. Use templates — Set up Notion database templates for consistent page layouts
