Calendly
Connect Calendly so your AI agent can check your availability and share booking links during calls.
What It Does
- Checks availability — Your agent sees your Calendly schedule and knows when you’re free
- Shares booking links — Directs callers to your Calendly page for self-scheduling
- Views scheduled events — Sees upcoming appointments to avoid double-booking
- Cancels events — Can cancel scheduled events when callers request it
How to Connect
Open Integrations
Go to Dashboard > Integrations and find Calendly.
Click Connect
Click the Connect button. You’ll be redirected to Calendly.
Authorize Access
Sign in to Calendly and grant Akol permission to access your events and event types.
You’re Connected
You’ll be redirected back to Akol. Your Calendly events are now accessible to your AI agent.
How It Works During Calls
- A caller asks to schedule a meeting
- Your agent checks your Calendly availability
- The agent offers available time slots
- The caller picks a time
- Your agent directs them to your Calendly booking page or creates the event
Settings
Event Types
Your Calendly event types (e.g., “30-Minute Meeting”, “Discovery Call”) are automatically imported. Your agent can offer these as options during calls.
Make sure your Calendly event types have clear names — your agent reads these to callers.
Troubleshooting
Agent Can’t See My Availability
- Check that your Calendly account is connected in Dashboard > Integrations
- Make sure your event types are active (not disabled) in Calendly
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting
Wrong Time Slots Showing
- Check your Calendly availability settings — your agent reads directly from Calendly
- Verify your timezone is set correctly in both Akol and Calendly
Connection Stopped Working
- Go to Dashboard > Integrations > Calendly
- Click Disconnect then Connect to refresh the connection
Tips
- Use clear event type names — “30-Min Consultation” is better than “Meeting Type A”
- Set buffer times in Calendly — Prevents back-to-back bookings
- Keep your Calendly up to date — Block off times you’re unavailable so your agent doesn’t offer them
