Google Calendar
Connect Google Calendar so your AI agent can check your availability and book appointments during phone calls.
What It Does
- Checks your calendar — The AI agent sees when you’re free and when you’re busy
- Books appointments — When a customer wants to schedule, the agent creates a calendar event
- Two-way sync — Appointments booked by Akol show up on your Google Calendar instantly
- Works with multiple calendars — Access all calendars in your Google account

How It Works During Calls
When a customer asks to schedule an appointment, here’s what happens:
- Your AI agent checks your Google Calendar for open time slots
- It offers available times to the caller (“I have openings on Tuesday at 2 PM or Wednesday at 10 AM”)
- The customer picks a time
- The agent creates the calendar event
- The customer gets a confirmation
Example calendar event created by Akol:
Drain Cleaning — John Smith Tuesday, February 10, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Notes: Customer called about a slow drain in the kitchen. First-time customer. Phone: +1-555-123-4567
Settings
After connecting, you can configure a few things:
Choose Your Calendar
If you have multiple Google Calendars, pick which one Akol should use for bookings.
- Go to Dashboard > Integrations > Google Calendar
- Click Settings
- Select your preferred calendar
- Click Save
We recommend creating a dedicated calendar for Akol appointments, like “Akol Bookings”. This keeps your personal events separate.
